FL UFO (and Armed Forces Fly-In) Event
This first Tri-State (FL, AL, GA) Regional Meeting, is being held in conjunction with the 70th Annual Armed Forces Day Fly-In at the former WW II Army Air Force Base on Friday evening, and all day Saturday. Saturday at noon, there will be a UFO luncheon ($10) and meeting in the terminal building. Please confirm your attendance for lunch by E mail, and pay at the door.
If staying for the Armed Forces Day Fly-In, events kick off with an FAA FASTeam Safety Seminal Friday, May 19 at 6 PM at the Municipal Airport Terminal with a dinner free to all members. Then spend all day enjoying the events including a flyover of the F-22 Raptor, parachute jumps, Huey Helicopter Rides and much more.
Pilots flying in will receive a $1 fuel discount, see War Birds and civilian aircraft on display, including the Lockheed L-12 "Electra" used in the movie "Amelia”, on display, a Salute The Wounded Warrior 5K Fun Run Challenge, a Pancake and Sausage breakfast for pilots from 8-10 AM, and much more.
